The AEF Retreat
RISE is an annual four-day program where young people living with endometriosis gather for community, self-care, and education. Think of RISE as the ultimate getaway designed for community members by community members. It’s a program rooted in information sharing and empowerment with your diverse experiences in mind. Oh.., and it’s completely free!

Itinerary Overview
Day 1
DAY 1: Welcome to Cedar Springs! Our first day will be focused on getting to know one another, setting intentions and participating in self-care activities and workshops. You will also have an opportunity to explore the gorgeous property and go for a dip in the pool!
DAY 2: The itinerary for today is designed to help you feel more confident in what can be an unpredictable body. Think delicious chef-prepared food, storytelling workshops, beauty masterclasses and an empowerment photoshoot.

Day 3
DAY 3: After two jam-packed days of making new friends, Day 3 is full of workshops designed to help guide you on your endometriosis journey. We will also have a special skincare workshop, where you can make personalised products just for you.
DAY 4: Bye for now! The program will end with a closing workshop, some special surprises and a chance to say goodbye to new friends. Make sure your suitcase has lots of space, we have a stack of goodies for you to take home!

Frequently Asked Questions

To apply for the retreat you must be an AEF Member. This means you are aged between 18-35, reside in Australia and are living with suspected or diagnosed endometriosis. You must also be able to attend on the dates of the retreat (Thursday 12 March - Sunday 15 March).

This program is proudly sponsored by Genea Fertility. As a result, attendees do not need to pay for this event. If you are selected as an attendee, you will need to pay a $50 deposit to secure your spot. You will be required to organise your own transport to and from the program location.

RISE is all inclusive. All meals, activities, workshops and accomodation is included. You just need to pay for your own transport!

Absolutely! You are more than welcome to apply, provided you have been approved by your medical team to attend the retreat.

Absolutely! As long as you live in Australia and can make your way to and from the program, you are more than welcome to apply.

Applications are reviewed by our Retreat Committee. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to a short video interview with 2 members of the Retreat Committee. All qualifying applications have an equal opportunity for selection.
